Once home to the Venetian painter Giacomo Favretto, the most representative of the city’s “realista” school during the second half of the nineteenth century, Ca’ Favretto opens up from silent, shaded side streets onto a stunning view of the Grand Canal. Originally built in the fourteenth-century, the home served throughout the years as residence to some of the more important Venetian noble families until 1951 when it was transformed into a "pensione". Hotel San Cassiano now offers discriminating guests the timeless ambiance of a historical Venetian home with elegantly furnished rooms and the tranquil charm of one of the city’s older neighborhoods.

Hotel Facilities:

The Hotel San Cassiano – Cà Favretto has 3 floors and is equipped with facilities for disabled persons (2 rooms are located on the ground floor). The Hotel has a panoramic terrace from wich you can enjoy a superb view over the Canal Grande. A buffet breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served in a sunny salon overlooking the Grand Canal. Here, guests can also enjoy a classic continental breakfast with bread and croissants, yogurt, cereal, fruit cocktail, sliced meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, and sausage.
